Andover's celebration of America's 250th Birthday will continue on Saturday, October 3 with a day-long community festival beginning at 11:00 AM in The Park.
Andover's Celebration of America 250 Continues on October 3
On Saturday, October 3, Andover will step- back in time to celebrate America’s 250th birthday in true epic style. Hosted by Andover Celebrates America 250 in partnership with the Andover Center for History and Culture, the festivities kick off at 11 AM in the Park and run throughout the day, with something for every generation.
Colonial Artisan Fair
Step into the 1700s with hands-on demos from master craftspeople: blacksmithing, gunsmithing, broom making, lacemaking, leatherworking, printing, flax processing, medicinal herbalism, and more. Don’t miss the colonial fencing demonstration, swords included.
The Cowasuck Band of the Penacook/Abenaki
A rare and special appearance featuring an authentic museum-style display of artifacts, traditional toys, and furs.
Prescott’s Battalion in Concert
The sounds of the Revolution come alive with 17th- and 18th-century music that would’ve been playing when the country was born.
Meet the Armies
Meet historically accurate Continental and British Army reenactors (Danvers Alarm List Company and His Majesty’s Royal Artillery, 7th Company, 3rd Battalion 1777) and learn what life on the march was really like.
Abbot Tavern, Reimagined
The beloved old Elm Street tavern rises again, right in the Park. Grab a craft beer or glass of wine, snack, test your history knowledge at trivia, hear a talk on Revolutionary-era cocktails, and more.
Walk Through History
Take a guided stroll down Chestnut Street to the Rose Cottage, South Church, and Bicentennial Park.
Fun for the Whole Family
Live music, food trucks, bounce houses, a balloon artist, face painting, lawn games, and plenty more to keep every age entertained.
And the celebration doesn’t stop at the Park—Main Street merchants are joining in, so the party spills right into downtown Andover.
